Directions From The South
Travelling North on the A1 you will pass the MOTO services (Washington)

Follow the signs for A1 Newcastle/Gateshead.

After approx. 4.5 miles take the turn off to the left signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle centre.

Now follow the A189 and cross over the Redheugh Bridge, stay in the right hand lane and turn right at the third set of traffic lights (City Centre, South A186) in the filter lane at Nexus House.

Turn left at the Second set of lights (Burger King is on the corner and O2 Academy opposite and then immediate right onto Fenkle Street.

The Newgate Hotel car park entrance is directly behind the Assembly Rooms, which is approx. 150 yards down on the left.

From the North
Follow signs for the South A1 (M) and take the road off to the left signposted City Centre (West) A186.

Continue to follow the A186 for about 3 miles when you should see a sign for Fenkle Street car parking.

Shortly after this you come to a crossroads with traffic lights, Burger King on the corner and the O2 Academy on the opposite corner. Turn left and immediate right into Fenkle Street.

The Newgate Hotel car park entrance is directly behind the Assembly Rooms, which is 150 yards down on the left.

From the Central Railway Station
As this is only around 0.5 KM away take a short taxi ride to the hotel or walk up Grainger Street to Newgate Street.

From the Airport
As this is only around 8km take either a short taxi ride to the hotel or catch the Metro to the Central Station and see above.
